Health and Nutrition for You and Your Family

LOVE'S Bakery, the Roman Meal Company, and the Linus Pauling Institute welcome you to Live2AgeWell, a website designed to deliver friendly information on health and nutrition to you and your family.

According to a recent survey by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, 40% of Americans over age 65 exhibit at least one chronic disease or disability that limits their normal daily activity. For those who are 85 and older, the figure is over 90%. So, our lifespan is currently outpacing our "healthspan"-the period of a person's life during which they are generally healthy and free from serious or chronic illness.

The Healthy Aging Program at Linus Pauling Institute is dedicated to research that that will lead to an increase in one's healthspan. There is reason to believe early implementation of factors such as good nutrition, frequent exercise and understanding individual genetics will positively affect the human aging process. Healthy aging begins in childhood.
